Ottawa Citizen 16 June 1949 Automobile Hits Train KINGSTON Two men were injured early today . when their early-model automobile was in collision with an east-bound Canadian National Railways freight train 16 miles northeast of here. Railway officials said traffic on their main line to Montreal, blocked by the wreck, would be resumed by noon. The men were: Lloyd Graham, 24, of Kingston Mills, and Harold Chase, 27, of Joyceville. They were brought to hospital here where Graham was treated for abrasions and Chase for fractures of the right arm and left leg. Eleven freight cars were derailed in the accident. Railway officials say the 1929 litrht-model car struck the center of the fast-moving 65-car train. |
