1911, March 12 - Freight train derails eight cars at Brockville, GTR.

Morrisburg Leader 16 March 1911 A defective box car on a freight train about to pull out of the Brockville yards for Montreal Sunday night, was the cause of a wreck entailing several thousand dollars of damagees and complete destruction of eight cars and their contents. The defective car had been uncoupled and was being removed from the train, when the engine at the rear started to push the balance of the train containing thirty cars, the engineer not being aware that an uncoupling had been made. The result was that the two portions of the train came together in a terrific crash.
