Details of Railway Accidents in the Ottawa Area

1889, June 28 - Passenger train derailed at Carleton Place. No injuries.

Almonte Gazette 5 July 1889 On Friday last, as the "Soo" train was nearing Carleton Place station the baggage and dining cars left the track. No damage was done beyond delaying the train an hour. The accident was caused by some boys placing stones on the track and tampering with the switch.
