Details of Railway Accidents in the Ottawa Area

1888, June 10 - Train hits cows, locomotive and fourteen cars derailed, Canadian Pacific.

Almonte Gazette 15 June 1888 Monday evening's train from Brockville was two hours late. Some cows strayed upon the track that morning early and lay down to rest. They were killed themselves, and threw a locomotive and fourteen cars off the track. The loss amounts to a heavy sum. Brakesman Nichol was badly shaken up
