 1873, June 30 - St. Lawrence and Ottawa train runs into cattle near Ottawa

Ottawa Citizen 2 July 1873 Cattle Killed. - Last Monday evening when the nieht express train on the St. Lawrence and Ottawa waa about two miles from the depot, it ran into some of the fatted cattle belonging to Mr. John Crawford, killing four of them and throwing three freight cars off the track.
