Interesting Pictures Of Long Gone Railroad, Published 29 July 1958.

Old time railroad fans, notably those who are interested in the long disappeared Canada Atlantic or the more recent Grand Trunk, will be interested in photos and photostats owned by Mrs. Gladys Orr Mason, RR No. 1, Perth, Ontario. She has a picture of C.A.R. 639, a high wheeled Atlantic with 00-00-00 wheel arrangement.
Her father, Robert Orr, survived the St. Polycarpe wreck long ago which killed fireman George W. McCuaig. There were nine deaths, caused by the engine jumping the rails. Mrs. Mason has pictures of the wreck.
The fading few who still remember these predecessors of the Canadian National will find these pictures interesting.
Note: Altantics had the 4-4-2wheel arrangement.
