February 1963

In which I continue my third year at Reading University and visit the Ford company at Dagenham

Wednesday 6 February.

The freezing spell is still continuing although he we have had a little rain today - the first since before Christmas. I haven't done much recently except work- I now have the will to work - a good thing now that finals are not too far off.

Thursday 7 February
There was a slight thaw today. We took the day off to go to Ford's at Dagenham by coach. I've been there twice before but still find it interesting. I think the best part is the foundry where castings are made from molten metal. They didn't show us the full production line because time was running short but we saw the car bodies being stamped and constructed.

Tuesday 12 February.
I have had the 'flu. The worst day was Sunday but I am better now although I am still very weak and have bad catarrah
