Ottawa Citizen 31 March 2000 Passenger train kills man A man was killed near Maxville last night when he was struck by a VIA Rail train enroute from Montreal to Ottawa. Maxville is about 30 kilometres northwest of Cornwall and 60 kilometres southeast of Ottawa. The train was delayed for an OPP investigation, and passengers were sent to Ottawa by bus.
