Details of Railway Accidents in the Ottawa Area

1888, October 12 - Brockville and Westport train derailed near Phillipsville, no human injuries.

Renfrew Mercury 19 October 1888 The first run off on the Brockville and Westport railway occurred on Friday near Phillipsville, when a car loaded with cattle left the track and rolled down a steep embankment.  Three of the cows were instantly killed and four of the others had to be killed.
