1867, December 7 - Brockville and Ottawa locomotive derailed near Carleton Place. No injuries.

Almonte Gazette 13 December 1867 A MIDNIGHT NAP ON THE TRAIN. - On last Saturday afternoon the up train on the B. & O. Railway met with a little mishap, on account of one of the driving wheeks of the locomotive getting off its axle, somewhere between Franktown and carleton Place. It was about 2 a.m., Sunday before it arrived in Almonte.
